What does a version number change imply?

The version number (i.e. 7.0.22) is separated in three parts.

The first number (here 7) represents major changes. So if it changes, it means something major has been added to the program (for exemple, spectral analysis capabilities (FFT) or a macro language).

The second number (here 0) represents minor changes. If it changes, it means that some minor function has been added or an existing function has been slightly enhanced (for exemple, a new digital filter like smoothing has been added).

The third number (here 22) represents bug fixes.

The best thing to do when you see a version change is to consult the History page to see exactly what has changed.
